Goal

Connect a custom telephony setup so your org can use its own gateway and numbers inside Sippet.

Before you start

  • Gather the gateway username, password, realm, proxy, and domain values.
  • Decide which AI agent or queue should handle the number first.

Step 1: create the gateway

In Settings > Telephony & SMS:
  • add the gateway
  • enter the provider connection details
  • save and verify the configuration

Step 2: connect the number

After the gateway exists:
  • add the phone number
  • set the inbound routing value
  • assign the AI agent that should receive inbound traffic if applicable

Step 3: test inbound and operator behavior

  • place a test call
  • confirm the number reaches the correct workflow
  • confirm an operator can join when needed

What good looks like

  • the gateway is stable
  • the number routes correctly
  • the assigned agent and operator flow behave predictably
